Ακούσαμε το EP των Ιταλών HOT SUNDAY BLOOD με τίτλο “Kein Licht”
The Hot Sunday Blood have their own distinct, diverse style. In just 22 minutes the band manages to present a solid yet quite diverse musical background, incorporating in their sound many different musical variables. While the songs are built upon a common musical basis, each has its own unique traces and elements that make it stand apart from the others. Each song is a different glimpse in the creative mind of the Hot Sunday Blood.
Three years ago the Hot Sunday Blood released their EP, “Kein Licht”. While it is not an EP from 2022, the “Kein Licht” deserves to be noticed, even though a few years have passed.
Listening to the EP, the first time the listener will, probably, only notice the slightly melodic and uplifting alternative sound with the heavy rock licks with their heavier and dry sound. However, the “Kein Licht” is way more diverse and will require some time to digest properly all the musical information offered.
Hot Sunday Blood present an alternative rock sound with heavy rock influences, solid and hefty guitar riffs, expressive vocals, punchy bass lines, while , the punk influences that can be spotted enrich the compositions with burst of energy. In the album, there are, also, the aforementioned heavy rock influences, which with their groove and their blues background expand further the musical range of the “Kein Licht”. The Hot Sunday Blood utilise their metalcore influences, modernizing their sound and presenting a result that while diverse, has no lack of cohesion.
The “Kein Licht” is an inspired and musically diverse work, that I am confident will satisfy every taste. And while it was released back in 2019, I can’t but recommend this great work, since it pushes the genre’s limits with a fresh and exciting sound.
