Ακούσαμε το άλμπουμ των Γερμανών PARA LIA με τίτλο «Gone with the flow»
Para Lia is a very interesting alternative-indie rock band with dark and pop melodies. The duo from Germany has shaped a music style that perfectly matches pop, rock and goth. Gone With The Flow is self-released and is available on both cd and lp versions. The 11 songs featured on the album find the couple of Rene and Cindy in a very nice shape. Both handle the melodies of the songs with their vocals, while Rene plays all instruments, too.
Gone With The Flow is a truly inspiring work and this is also justified from the fact it inspired the painter/artist Louis Renzoni to make a virtual exhibition with his paintings and use as soundtrack for it the complete Gone With The Flow album!
The album sounds fresh although the band uses older music styles like for example the late 80’s to mid 90’s dark, alternative, indie pop scene that mostly appeared in Great Britain, plus some late 60’s sounds of rock, psych, prog and pop. Everything is really nicely worked out and it seems that it works good for the band to have an only writer/composer like Rene who is a truly gifted guitar player, vocalist and composer! Cindy’s vocals work just great with Rene’s more baritone vocals and give a certain psych and pop dimension to the songs when necessary.
Para Lia base their music on melodies. You will find great melodies throughout the album. The production compliments the songwriting. Standout songs are for sure My Muse, Fade To Grey, No Time For Butterflies, which are accompanied great videos that you need to check out.
Gone With The Flow is a proof that the underground and DIY releases can be absolutely fantastic! If you are an indie/alternative rock lover, you will surely treasure this album, but even if you are not, you will still add a great album in your collection. Support independent artists and buy it directly from the band. This is a really good album that won’t disappoint any good music lover!
